Danny Karbassiyoon, Arsenal FC Professional Player Meets With Williamsburg Soccer Club UK Tour Participants

 

Danny Karbassiyoon, of the Arsenal Football Club of the English Premier League, and a former Roanoke Star player met with members of the U14 Williamsburg Phoenix Elite and U13 Williamsburg Wizards Elite, United Premier and Dynamo Classic during their UK Tour during the Easter of 2004. Danny was signed by Arsenal as an 18 year old straight our of the Roanoke Star program. He is presently in the first year of a two year contract with the London club. Danny plays regularly for the reserve team at left back and also has trained with the first team a number of time which involves players such as Dennis Berkamp, Theiry Henry, Patrick Vierra and Sol Campbell.

 

Danny spent time with our players and parents talking about his experiences so far at Arsenal, the transition from the USA to the UK and life as a professional footballer. It was a great evening of questions and answers and a neat way to end our tour. I would like to thank Danny personally for his time and wish him all the best.
