10-20-04 - WSC U17 ('87) Wizards attempt to make it to Virginia State Cup Final Four this Saturday.  The WSC U17 Wizards will take on FC Richmond Magic in a quarter final match up in the 2004 Virginia State Cup. The game will take place at the Warhill Sports Complex on Saturday October 23, 2004 at 12pm in Williamsburg. The Wizards have played well this year in State Cup first defeating Mclean United 7-1 and SOCA Lightning 2-1 in overtime. The contest should be a good one as the last time the two teams met in a Virginia Club Champions League game in August the game ended up tied at 3-3 after a last minute goal from Stephen Legg of the Wizards.  Come out and support the Wizards, admission is free.

10-14-04 - The WSC U18 Wizards will play at 7pm on Saturday night at the Williamsburg/James City County Recreation Center in their Virginia State Cup match against local rival Beach FC Blaze. This is a Quarter Final game and will determine who reaches the 2004 Final Four. The Wizards are presently 5-0-0 in the very competitive Virginia Club Champions League and went 3-0-0 last weekend at the Beach FC Columbus Day Tournament. The Wizards are playing some very good soccer at the moment, scoring goals and creating many opportunities during each game. All players and parents are encouraged to come out and see a very high level youth game and to support our players and team. Admission is free.

10-10-04 - Richard Butler will be holding an interactive forum for all players who are sophomores and older and their parents on Tuesday, October 12, at the Human Services Building on Olde Towne Road beginning at 6:30pm. Chris Norris, Head Men's coach at the College of William and Mary and John Daly, Head Woman's coach at the College of William and Mary, will both be in attendance. This is a great opportunity to learn about the ins and outs of college soccer recruiting, what to do about getting seen and choosing the right college.

09-01-04 - Tracy Trueblood is now our new administrator. Tracy was a team manager for 9 years and her son Shawn played for us during that time. He is now on the varsity team at Christopher Newport University. Tracy has volunteered at the soccer club for many years. Besides helping with the team she has been our registration and one of the t-shirt volunteers for several years. She also helped me during the tour that Shawn took with us in 2000 to England.
