Record Numbers Tryout
for WSC
A record number of players
attended trials for Williamsburg Soccer Club held May 28th through June
2nd. Over 450 players tried out for WSC teams, including many players
from outside the Williamsburg area. Just proving that WSC's player
base is expanding tremendously. Because of the record numbers many
premier teams will be registering full or close to full rosters and several
Classic teams are being added to the slate of teams carrying the WSC banner
for next year.

Another WSC First--1st WSC Player Drafted by MLS
On February 10th, Matt Behncke became the first
Williamsburg Soccer Club player to be selected to play in Major League
Soccer (MLS). Matt was selected in the second round by the Dallas
Burn as the 18th overall selection in the 2002 MLS Super Draft of
Collegiate and Project 40 players. More
