2005/2006
WSC Fee Schedule:
Three
years ago, the WSC Board of Directors established a single fee system for
its players. The Board sets and approves the WSC budget, including the
team fees. The Board created this system to enable families to plan
financially for the commitment required by travel soccer and to avoid
“hidden” fees or additional requests throughout the year.
-
FEES
COVER THE ENTIRE YEAR, which includes the Fall, Winter, and Spring
seasons! With your fee, ALL players enjoy year round training which
includes twice-a-week team training, mini-camps (for the U10-U14
teams), goalkeeper training, technical training clinics, indoor
training, and club-wide open play. Your fees do NOT include uniforms
or your personal hotel/travel expenses.
-
THE
FEES COVER ALL APPROVED CLUB TOURNAMENTS FOR THE YEAR! In the fall
season, depending upon the age and level of the specific team, in
addition to league games, teams will play 3 to 5 approved tournaments;
in the winter, teams will play 1 to 2 approved tournaments; and in the
spring, in addition to leagues games for U-14 and below, teams will
play 2 to 4 approved tournaments for a total of 6 to 11 tournaments,
ALL INCLUDED in your fees. Including tournaments, teams will play
approximately 25 games in the fall. In the spring, U11-U14 teams will
play approximately 20 games, and the older teams will play
approximately 10 games. NO AREA CLUB OFFERS MORE OPPORTUNITIES TO PLAY
FOR ALL PLAYERS!
-
FEES
INCLUDE ASSISTANCE IN MAKING YOUR COLLEGE CHOICES! Your fees include
College Night and also participation in the WSC Showcase, an
opportunity to display your talent before dozens of college coaches.
NO OTHER AREA SOCCER CLUB HAS PRODUCED AS MANY COLLEGE-LEVEL PLAYERS
AS THE WILLIAMSBURG SOCCER CLUB!
-
FEES
INCLUDE THE COACHING EXPENSES FOR THE MOST QUALIFIED GROUP OF TRAVEL
SOCCER COACHES from top to bottom, anywhere in the area! The WSC
travel coaches are all REQUIRED to obtain coaching certifications from
national soccer programs, and include staff and support from the
W&M Men’s Soccer program and the CNU Men’s and Women’s
Soccer program.
-
FEES
INCLUDE THE ONLY FULL-TIME SOCCER PROFESSIONAL AS CLUB DIRECTOR.
Richard Butler has been director of the WSC since 1992, a period of
time which has seen the WSC become the FIRST and ONLY area travel club
with a FULL-TIME Director; the FIRST area travel club with both BOYS
and GIRLS programs; the ONLY area travel club where the BOYS and GIRLS
teams play in the SAME LEAGUE; the ONLY area travel club that provides
opportunities from the youngest ages through U-23 with the
Williamsburg Legacy; and too many other “Firsts” to list.
Membership in the VCCL requires a full-time Director of Coaching, and
WSC has one of its founding members!
-
For
the Wizards and the Phoenix, your fees include PARTICIPATION IN THE
VIRGINIA CLUB CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, THE VCCL! The VCCL is arguably the top
league in the state, home to 18 of the 32 2004 State Cup
semifinalists, and 9 of the 16 State Cup champions, INCLUDING THE WSC
U-18 TEAM. WSC Director Richard Butler was a founding member of the
VCCL and continues to serve as an officer on the VCCL Board of
Directors.
-
For
the Premier and the Dynamo, YOUR FEES INCLUDE PARTICIPATION IN THE
BRAND NEW VIRGINIA SOCCER LEAGUE, INC. which offers a wide range of
competitive levels to maximize each player’s abilities.
-
WSC
also provides FINANCIAL BASED SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE and is the ONLY
area club to provide $20,000 in assistance to its families during the
2004-05 seasons.
