Introduction to the the WSC Legacy Camps

As the Williamsburg Soccer Club enters its thirteenth year of summer soccer day camps, WSC is continuing its highly successful summer camps program from 2004. Last year's success of the WSC Legacy Camps was tremendous. Campers truly enjoyed and prospered under the tutelage of the Williamsburg Legacy players and coaching staff. Campers were taught the finer points of the game of soccer then were able to watch as their "instructors" performed those points during one of the eleven wins of the Williamsburg Legacy, during their Mid Atlantic Division Runners-up Premier Development League season.

The WSC Legacy Camps offers campers the opportunity to be coached by the very players that they can watch play at Busch Field. The Legacy have been Division Champions and Runners-up the last three years, having an impressive 22-3-2 record at home and averaged over 500 fans per game. Our team will consist of players who have ties to either Williamsburg Soccer Club, William and Mary, or reside in the Williamsburg area. Former WSC players who have graduated from WSC's program and either played or currently play for W&M, Virginia Tech, VCU, South Carolina, Maryland, CNU, to name a few. Also on the team will be former William and Mary players and members from the WSC coaching staff.

For 2005 the Legacy Camps will again include Travel and Legacy Leaders camps. We will conduct two travel team camps for travel players in Williamsburg and at Christopher Newport University. These advanced weeks of camp is for the travel team players only. This will be a great environment for travel teams and individual travel players to come in and be trained by the quality staff and players of the Williamsburg Legacy.

As a special gift for attending any of the Legacy Camp sessions each camper will receive a free single game ticket to attend a WSC Legacy game at the end of each week of camp. "Campers will be able to see their instructors in action." At halftime of the game we will have an awards presentation to honor all campers and some campers of the week awards.

We are excited to again announce that NIKE, INC. will be our major sponsor of the camp as we enter our eleventh year.
