Williamsburg Soccer Club to Host 1st Annual Movie Night
March 28th 6:30pm at Williamsburg Regional Library

 

 

The Williamsburg Soccer Club will host the First Annual Movie Night on Tuesday March 28th, 2006 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at the Williamsburg Regional Library Theater.  The event, the first of its kind for the club, will strive to bring everyone together in a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy the company of their teammates and peers and watch a great soccer movie.  The feature presentation will be “Ginga: The Soul of Brazilian Futbol”.  This is a very entertaining and eye opening documentary of the dreams and aspirations of 7 Brazilian soccer players ages 13-22.  

It's an incredibly well-shot and edited look at these youths, with all of their talent, and documents the Ginga, the Brazilian magical quality of skills that make Brazilian futbol, and futsal, so breathtaking.  The exceptional football clips and heart-rending emotions of these whiz-kids and their footballing dreams make it a must-see and perhaps the greatest soccer film ever made.

 

The Movie night is FREE to everyone and everyone is welcome.  Parents, coaches and players are all invited to take a night off from training and come celebrate what being a club is all about.  There will be free food and drinks for all those who come along with free Nike giveaways and free raffle prizes including Nike Balls, Bags, Shirts, Posters and More.  The Library Theater seats 230 people so there is plenty of room for everyone to come watch a great soccer movie that the kids will love.

 

The Club's Assistant Director, Bobby O’Brien says “This is what being a club is all about.  Finding events that bring everyone together once again shows why we are truly a great organization.  I think this is a great opportunity for the players, parents and coaches to take a break from soccer and their busy schedules and come enjoy a nice evening with great company.” 

 

Again the movie night is March 28th, from 6:30 – 8:30, movie starts at 7pm at the Williamsburg Library Theater.  There will be no training on this night so everyone is able to attend that wishes to.
