Williamsburg Phoenix Girls Shine At Futsal

Girls U14 and U16 Champions, U18 Runners Up

 

The girls side of the Williamsburg Soccer Club excelled on Wednesday as the U14 and U16 Phoenix were Champions of the Tidewater Soccer Camp Futsal Championships and the U18s were declared Runners Up. The event was held at the superb indoor facility on the campus of Christchurch School in Urbanna, Virginia. The U14s played in the morning session posting a 2-0-1 record in group play before defeating the U13 Richmond Kickers Premier in the final 2-0. The U16 and U18 Phoenix both played in the U18 girls bracket. The U18s were 1-0-1 in group play and the U!6 ended up with a 1-0-2 record both teams progressed to the semi finals. In the semis both teams played the Baystars U18 teams with the U16s winning 2-0 and the 18s winning 2-1. In the final both teams faced each other with the U16s prevailing 2-1.
