U15 ’90 Williamsburg Wizards Advance to Virginia State Cup Final Four

U16 ’89 Wizards fall in State Cup Play

The U15 ’90 Williamsburg Wizards advanced to their second final four appearance on Saturday at the Warhill Sports Complex in Williamsburg. The Wizards defeated the Fredericksburg Area Soccer Club (FASA) 3-2 in regulation. The Wizards scored the first three goals and held the three goal advantage until five minutes from half time. Sean Moriarty, Robert Alberti and Gavin Vest scored for the Wizards. With the score 3-1 the FASA put together a spirited come back that saw them win the second half but not get the all important trying goal. The Wizards will go on to meet Virginia club Champions League rival Richmond Strikers in the semi final. In other state cup news the U16 ’89 Wizards fell to the Richmond Kickers 2-0.
