Local -
Duke Communications is a brand new company -- but one with significant
business roots. And the roots go deep. Those roots are perhaps best
represented by G. T. "Duke" Diggs and his family who founded
the former Duke Communications, Inc., an experienced local firm that
served the Williamsburg area from January of 1980 until January of
1997. See our founder's biographical sketch. Our founder and current
company President & CEO, G. T. Diggs, is a native of the area
and has strong community ties. We support and are active members
of the Williamsburg, Isle of Wight and Surry, Chambers of Commerce.
(For information about the original company and the attempted merger
with Property Technologies, see their history.)
Established
and Stable - The firm's management has been profitable
every year since its inception, and is listed and rated by Dun & Bradstreet
(DUNS80-277-6542) Bank reference is First Virginia Bank - Commonwealth,
Jean Stewart (757) 294-3131.
Licensed -
Duke Communications is licensed as a Class "A" Contractor
by the Commonwealth of Virginia, State Board for Contractors.
Committed
to Service - Our service to you after the sale is provided
seven days a week, 24-hours a day. All of our technicians are equipped
with two-way radios for fast response should your system go down.
We are located near you and offer you a distinct advantage over
others in terms of response time. And we provide you with only
one number to call - our number. No need for you to try to figure
out who you need to call. Our service, extends to all troubles,
including ordinary trouble on the telephone line itself. That is,
we handle repair coordination on normal line troubles (noise, dead
line, etc.) with the phone company for you at no charge. As Authorized
Agents for the phone company, we do not tell you (as some competitors
do) that "...our equipment is O.K., you need to call Verizon,
Cox, Cavalier, AT&T, MCI, etc., etc." We handle these
everyday, ordinary, types of trouble calls at no additional cost
to you. We eliminate the unfortunate finger-pointing so prevalent
in telecommunications today with some vendors and contractors.
(Aggravated cases, and disputes with the telephone company or others
will be negotiated by us on your behalf at hourly charges from
us to you).
Reliable -
The reputation established by your company is of immense value in
marketing your services. Your clients "buy" because they
have been convinced that the expertise and know-how that support
your firm are of greater value than less experienced alternatives.
We use that same approach here at Duke Communications. By providing
you with experienced and well trained specialists who accept Total
Responsibility for your satisfaction, Duke Communications is able
to offer you a recommendation for a viable, practical and economical
solution to all your communications needs.
